The Dome House

I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Dome House, and it’s been an absolute delight. Their attention to detail and commitment to creating a truly luxurious retreat is remarkable. Our stay at the Dome House was nothing short of incredible—honestly the most pleasant stay. The property is perfectly beautiful and set in a stunning Lake District location, but it’s the hospitality that truly blew me away. Dave and Hayley are a phenomenal team! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a glass of bubbly, and the level of detail in our room was remarkable. Hayley had even made homemade mince pies for us— very tasty! The room exceeded every expectation: • Total Generosity: A complimentary stocked fridge and thoughtful extras throughout. • Luxury Touches: Plush bathrobes and spa slippers were provided for the hot tub and pool. • Above & Beyond for Pets: They were so incredibly accommodating of our dog. There was even a treat bag full of goodies waiting in the room for Rosa, my Staffie, which was such a touching gesture. • Incredible Food: Hayley’s cooked breakfast was delicious and the perfect start to the day. Dave and Hayley’s teamwork and attention to detail are amazing! They catered to our every need and made us feel special. If you get the chance to stay here, take it—it is an absolute gem!

We are returning home after the most rejuvenating 2 days away at Dome House, with Joyce and Phil. The house is incredible, from the fabulous hosts to the architecture! Joyce and Phil gave us a lovely warm welcome with a tour of the stunning property and it’s grounds. The room was immaculate and simply perfect; they have thought of everything that you may need and accommodated it. The facilities are tip top! Breakfast was delivered in a lovely hamper to our door each morning and was ample to get you started for the day. Location is fantastic; everything is within walking distance. We would recommend this place a million times over, with no hesitation whatsoever! Thank you both; you are amazing people who are doing an amazing job!

We stayed with friends and we had the most amazing time. The setting, rooms and facilities can’t be faulted. The hosts were beyond accommodating & Hayley was a phenomenal chef. Our Monk fish was cooked to perfection with perfect flavours. We also opted for the cocktail tasting class & it was superb. I would highly recommend staying here and we will most definitely be back.

My absolute favourite hotel! So luxuriously cosy you won’t want to leave. Stayed here twice so far and will be coming back time and time again. We have stayed in two of the rooms and both were stunningly decorated yet really warm and comfortable. The hosts have a wonderful laid back yet attentive approach and are there if you need them but will leave you in peace to enjoy the surroundings and their beautiful property. We love Joyce’s well stocked and thoughtfully laid out honestly bar, and really like the casual atmosphere where you pay for what you’ve had at the end of your stay. Much nicer than a stuffy hotel bar. The setting and views are spectacular and so many little extras like a really delicious continental breakfast delivered to your door in a hamper every morning. Everything about Dome house has been thought out and it really is a special little gem. Thanks so much and we look forward to our next Dome house stay!

An excellent retreat for a few days. We had the run of the place and have been very well looked after. Looking forward to a return visit.

The most relaxing and chilled few days we’ve spent in ages. Stunning location, overlooking Windermere, with sumptuous rooms and amazing hosts. We’ve stayed in other luxury venues in the area, but this experience has exceeded all the others for us. Lovely hosts, fantastic food. Would give it 10 stars if we could!!

A truly five star experience from start to end. The views from our room and the main Dome room are spectacular. As an artist it gave me so much inspiration. The food is sublime, Hayley can cater for all dietary requirements. Dave is the perfect host too. Our room was lovely, one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in anywhere. I cannot recommend enough.
